- Regarding prices and delivery time:
- Due to overwhelming demands and frequently changing COVID-related export regulations, prices and delivery time can change without notice. Only when your order becomes firm with deposit or instrument in place can we commit to prices and delivery schedules. We will, however, do our best to keep price and delivery information as up-to-date as possible.
- Will the payment and instrument be made to the supplier or to Elate?
- In order to speed up the process, deposits and payments will be made to a trading firm in China that we control, who will be your formal counterparty responsible for receiving deposits and payments, and transporting and delivering the products to the Shanghai airport. If you prefer to sign the SPA with Elate Partner, LLC., that's fine too. But having money flowing through our US bank account will delay getting the products to those in need.
- Letters of credit will need to be open with our financiers in China who will put down cash deposits with producers for your order to proceed. Once again, Elate can undertake obligations as your counterparty is you so wish.
- On whose name the LOI should be issued?
- No need for LOI. We’ll have an order form up on our website along with payment instructions.
- Regarding shipping terms:
- We are responsible for transporting the products to the Shanghai airport where we have good working relationships with the customs and air traffic control. That’s where we’ll deliver the products and receive the final payments (if applicable). Unless otherwise stated, we’ll pay for the within-China transportation. You will be responsible for transporting the products from that point on. It is advised that you get in touch with your government to find out the best way to do that. Many governments have designated transport flights picking up COVID-19 supplies;
- We can also help you book with reputable commercial couriers who deliver the products to your destination. However, beware that these are much more expensive than in normal times and you’ll be responsible for such costs. We have had the experience where the supplies got seized by governments of countries the goods passed by so you should seriously consider this risk. Many countries and customs will seize these supplies whenever they find them, and we have no control over and cannot be responsible for that. While we may be able to help you secure commercial delivery, title and risks to the products pass to you at the Shanghai airport.
