Elate Partners was built for cross-border commerce between China and the rest of the world. This is what we do. We're investment and finance professionals, we're technical talents, and we're management, operational and marketing professionals. More importantly, we are locals in China and wherever we have a presence. Local access, local understanding, local thinking and local solutions. That's our core strength: a team of locals that connect capital, assets, goods, technologies and talents between China and the rest of the world.

 

We source our deals and supplies through a variety of channels from both proprietary and more traditional sources. Our connections in China allow us visibility and chance to participate in exclusive deals only available to top of the cream investors. Our connections in Brazil allow us to reach all the way to where soybeans and sugarcanes are planted and harvested. All of our deals and supply sources go into our home-built database for automated, collaborative and streamlined tracking and processing through their lifecycles.

 

We mantain good relationships, and routinely work, with virtually all of the sovereign wealth funds and other national-level financial institutions in China. We have worked with many of the country’s biggest state-owned and private companies and have good access to their boards. We have physical presence in Chinese regions that are considered “pockets of wealth” where high net worth individuals are based. We have access to many large funds, institutions and industrial leaders outside of China as well.

 

We are in long-term strategic relationships with China’s Three Barrels of oil monopolies and we are partners with big utilities and major municipal gas suppliers. We are connected to all of the provincial level trading companies along China’s coast that supply most of China’s soybeans.

We are long-term and regular partners with numerous local governments in China and have access to, and are qualified for, a wide array of incentives offered by local governments and national organizations alike.

 

Working with China requires a special combination of talents, and being bilingual is far from enough. You need to speak the technical, business, finance, sales and marketing and management "languages" in the social, business and cultural contexts of both China and the rest of the world. Fortunately, we have a reserve of such talents from former Chinese students in the western world who are nowadays in senior technical and management positions in western organizations. They desire to go back and contribute to their homeland, but struggle to find positions that suit their senior statuses. Our business make extensive use of them while offering a rare platform for them to succeed on.
